Since April 2010, The Body Shop Studio has provided one-on-one and small group personal training. Anyone, of any age or athletic level, is welcomed to train at The Body Shop. Clients who bring the drive for improvement are the most successful. Most clients train 2-3 days per week. Sessions come in 30 minute and 60 minute options. So why train at The Body Shop?
One of many unique assets to The Body Shop, is our customized training methods. For our active athletes we conduct neck training protocol, scientifically proven to help reduce the risk of concussion in athletes. The Shop, is one of the few locations in New Jersey that has the privilege to own this equipment. Additionally, we not only value the mental and aesthetic improvements one makes, but the translatable strength one develops. Hearing stories about tasks people were not able to do, or do without pain, prior to training is equally, if not more important to us. The Body Shop Studio is within walking distance to the Berkeley Heights train station and offers a parking lot. We also have showers available for those who need. We respectfully do not accept walk ins, and ask that you call or inquire here for a consultation or appointment.

Katie grew up a three-sport athlete at The Pingry School. She learned at a young age that proper nutrition and strength training can improve sports performance, self-confidence and overall quality of life. Katie obtained a bachelors degree in Health and Exercise Science from The College of New Jersey, where she played women’s collegiate basketball. She then went on to gain a masters degree in Nutrition Communications from Tufts University. In Boston, she was a trainer and Regional Fitness Manager at Town Sports International. Katie could not be more excited to return home and bring her passion and expertise to The Body Shop Studio.
